Aim of the Game
Protect your “Mining Pool” card while attempting to destroy the “Mining Pool” card(s) of your opponent(s). The last player alive will be declared victorious!
Informations
- Number of Players: From 2 players
- Duration: 30-45 minutes for a 2-player game (game duration may vary with more players).
- Age: Advised for players aged 13 and older.
The Cards
Mining Pool
This is your main card, which you have to defend at all costs. If it’s destroyed by an opponent, you lose the game.
Firewall
The Firewall cards are useful to defend your Mining Pool. While at least 1 Firewall card is in front of your Mining Pool, it can’t be attacked by the opponent’s fighters!
Neutrino
The Neutrino is a mysterious card finding itself in the middle of the battlefield…
Neutrino Destroyed
The player who destroys the Neutrino reveals this card and wins the linked bonus! This bonus can be randomly chosen by the players (Random is more fun!).
Bitcoin
The Bitcoin cards are the Resources cards of the game. They allow you to deploy the fighters in the battlefield or cast spells.
Fighter
The Fighter cards represent your army! You will deploy them in the battlefield in order to destroy your opponent.
Building
The Building cards are special Fighter Cards. They generally aren’t able to attack but are often a good means of defense!
Spell
The Spell cards can be cast at any time during your game turn. They have effects on the played card.
A Card’s Details
Each card in the game has specific characteristics:
- Health: Its health points
- Damage: Its damage in combat
- Range: Hand-to-hand or distance?
- Cost: Bitcoin resource cost
- Speed: Kind of fast or slow?
- Name
- Description: Special ability(ies) and/or narratives
Some cards may not display all of these characteristics. For example, a spell card describing its effect in the description will have its only characteristic as its Cost (example above).
Build Your Deck
What’s a deck?
Except for your “Mining Pool” and “Firewall” cards, which are already available on the battlefield, all of your cards make up your game deck.
How to build a deck?
To be playable, a deck must contain at least 10 Resource cards (Bitcoin) and 20 Fighter/Spell cards, for a total minimum of 30 cards.
You can’t have more than 4 identical cards in your deck.
Your Resource cards (Bitcoin) are essential for playing your other cards. Your deck should not have less than 1/3 of Resource cards (e.g., 10 Resources for a full deck of 30 cards). You can’t have more than 40% of Resource cards in your deck (e.g., 12 resources for a deck of 30 cards).
To build a well-balanced deck:
- Alternate the power of your cards.
- Manage to have low-cost cards as well as powerful and resistant cards.
- Build your deck by switching between Resource and Fighter/Spell cards.
Game Preparation
Each player places their starting cards:
- 1 Mining Pool card
- 2 or 3 Firewall cards (choose 2 Firewall for the fastest game or games with 3 players).
Each player shuffles and/or cuts his opponent’s deck. The deck is then placed on the table as the player’s choice, to his right or to his left.
The Neutrino card is positioned in the middle of the table. A “Neutrino Destroyed” card is then placed below the Neutrino card, face down.
The names of the players, as well as the hit points of the main cards are noted on the game sheet and the game begins!
Destroyed, used, and discarded cards will be placed in the landfill.
Who Starts? Starting Hand
The player who starts is determined randomly by the method of your choice, as long as no deck cards are revealed by this method (e.g., Heads or tails, Rock-paper-scissors…). If more than 2 players, repeat the operation to determine the order of the other players.
After that, each player draws 8 cards from their deck; it’s their starting hand. Each player’s hand must remain unknown to the other players.
How to Play?
A game round takes place in 5 phases:
1. Disengagement Phase
The player disengages the resources and combatants engaged in the previous round. Engagement is an action to clarify the situation of each game turn (see following steps).
In case of forgetting, the card(s) still engaged after the draw phase cannot be used this turn.
2. Revelation Phase
The player updates the deployment status of his combat cards.
Indeed, according to his speed, a fighter does not immediately arrive on the battlefield.
(You will understand better by reading phase 4)
The cards are then laid in the following manner:
Deployment turn | Next turn | Next turn | |
Horizontally face down |
Vertically face down |
Revealed & operational! |
|
Vertically face down | Revealed & operational! | ||
Revealed & operational! |
3. Draw Phase & Resources
The player draws the card from the top of his deck.
To increase the dynamics of the game, here are some special rules to apply:
- At the start of his turn and if the player has no more cards in his hand, he can choose to draw 2 cards.
- At the end of his turn, a player cannot have more than 8 cards in hand. If this is the case, he must discard the card of his choice and place it, face down, next to his resources. He can then use it as additional resources during his next turn. The card will then be thrown into the tip, face up, as soon as its next turn is over.
- At the end of his turn and if he has only one card left in his hand, the player can choose to discard this card. He then places it, face up, on top of his discard pile.
- If the player has a resource in his hand, he can deploy it on the battlefield and use it in the next phase.
- Unless otherwise specified, the player has no right to deploy more than one resource per turn.
4. Deployment Phase
During his deployment phase, the player can use all or part of his resources to deploy one or more combatant cards on the battlefield.
For each card deployed, he must pay the number of resource(s) necessary by engaging them. The resource cost of a card is specified in the bottom middle of the card (see section a).
He then places the card in front of him according to its speed (see Revelation Phase). As a reminder:
- Horizontally face down: Playable in 2 rounds.
- Vertically face down: Playable in a round.
- Vertically face up: Playable immediately.
5. Combat Phase
It’s time to fight!
It’s up to the attacker, so the player takes his turn, to choose how his cards attack the cards of the opposing player (defender).
A fight between 2 cards takes place as follows:
- Compare the range of the 2 cards engaged in combat. The card with the highest range will be able to attack alone a number of times equal to the difference in range.
- Then, the 2 cards meet and each inflicts an attack.
- The fight ends when the 2 cards meet or when one of the 2 cards has no more life.
The example below illustrates the following fight: The Hacker card attacks the Miner card!
Range Difference:
Hacker 2 – Miner 1 = 1. The Hacker card strikes first! Everything is logical. To understand, imagine that the Hacker shoots the Miner while the Miner advances against the Hacker.
Step | Battle | Result |
---|---|---|
1 | The Miner goes down to 4 Health points (6 – 2 points of damage) | |
2 |
|
The attacking card (Hacker) is then engaged (rotated horizontally) and can no longer attack this turn.
Card life points are only restored at the end of each round (unless otherwise indicated – see building).
In our previous example, this means that the defender’s Miner card still has 2 health points until the current player’s (attacker’s) turn is over.
The player can therefore choose to attack the defender’s Miner card again with another of his combatant cards.
Let’s go back to our previous example: This time the Bugs card attacks the Miner card!
Range Difference:
Bugs 2 – Miner 1 = 1. The Bugs card strikes first! Everything is logical. To understand, imagine that the Bugs shoot at the Miner while the Miner advances against the Bugs.
Step | Battle | Result |
---|---|---|
1 | The Bugs deals 1 damage to the Miner. | The Miner goes down to 1 health point (2 – 1 points of damage) |
2 |
|
The 2 cards are destroyed! |
The cards destroyed during this combat phase are placed, face up, on the top of the landfill, respecting the order in which they are destroyed and / or used.
Spell cards can be played at any time during the player’s turn as long as he has enough resources available.
Let’s take our previous example: The Miner card has just been attacked by the Hacker card and ends up with 2 points of life remaining.
Good to Know
Attack Protection:
- The Mining Pool card cannot be attacked by a combatant card if at least 1 Firewall card OR a combatant card protects it.
- A Firewall card cannot be attacked by a combatant card if at least one combatant card protects it.
- Unless otherwise stated, a spell can inflict damage on the opposing Mining Pool or Firewall, even if the card concerned is protected by one or more fighters or Firewalls.
Card Characteristics Restoration:
Unless otherwise specified (e.g., Building), the characteristics of the cards are restored to their default values at the end of each round.
Game Card for Tracking:
The game card allows you to note the state of each card as the game progresses.
Neutrino!
During his attack phase, the player can choose to attack the Neutrino!
If the Neutrino is destroyed, the player reveals the hidden card “Neutrino destroyed” and can then benefit from the Bonus listed in the description of the card!
Attention! Calculate well and play strategically! If you fail to destroy the Neutrino, it is very possible that one of your opponents will succeed thanks to the damage you have just inflicted!
End of Turn
Once the round is over, it’s the next player’s turn, and so on until the end of the game.
Cards Special Abilities
Some cards have one or more special abilities, as noted in the description of the card. Here are a few examples:
- FRAGILE: Most building cards have this ability. With the FRAGILE ability, the card cannot restore its health points at the end of the turn. It is, therefore, advisable to note the life points remaining on the game sheet.
- BUILDING: Generally reserved for building cards, this special ability explains that a card cannot attack during the owner player’s turn. It can nevertheless defend itself in the event of an attack against it (if it has what it takes to defend itself, of course).
- MULTI: This ability is often attributed to cards representing groups of fighters. A MULTI card can choose to double its damage by sacrificing at the end of the turn. This ability can also be used if the card is about to die during a fight, therefore before the end of the owner player’s turn. Warning! The MULTI ability can only be used during the owner player’s turn.
- HACK: The Hack ability can give a definite advantage during the game. When the card with this ability is revealed, face up, on the battlefield, the owner player can steal a resource card from one of his opponents, use it during his turn, then return it to his owner at the end of his turn.
Find the full list of special abilities on the website.
Variants
For longer or shorter games, you can choose to change the number of life points of the base cards (Mining Pool, Firewall, Neutrino). Simply note it on the game sheet at the start of the game!
You can find in Boosters “Neutrino destroyed” cards giving different Bonuses! It will make your gaming experience even more thrilling! If you don’t have (or few) “destroyed Neutrino” cards, nothing prevents you from writing yourself original Bonuses on pieces of paper and testing them in the game with your friends.

Conclusion
You now have all the cards in hand! It’s up to you!
